2True Crystal Nail Polish - Shade 5

Nails of the day have started to become a regularly occurence on the blog at the moment, now that I have finally given up with fake nails and become au naturale since starting back at university. Surprisingly they have grown well after the torture I put them through for years :)

2True Crystal Nail Polishes are limited edition. They have 6 shades within the collection to choose from , of which I currently own 4 comprising of  shade 1, shade 3 and shade 4.

They are gorgeous party nail polishes which add a hint of shimmer to your nails. Shade 5 is particularly my favourite as I love how pigmented it is, as you can go with just one coat of polish and it will look as if you have 2 coats. Also another plus is that the formula is very quick drying which is good if you are consistently on the go like myself.

These nail polishes are exclusive to Superdrug and retail for £1.99 each , however Superdrug has a consistent offer on 2True cosmetics whereby you can purchase any 3 products for £4.99.

Has anyone tried out these Crystal Nail polishes, if so let me know what you think to them?!!

Mallzee : Social Shopping Experience

Hi guys,

I was recently contacted by a company that goes by the name of 'Mallzee' about a new & upcoming shopping website which is due to be launched later this year. You must have realised from now that we have a MASSIVE online shopping addiction *I'm calling shoppers anonymous as I type this*.

Mallzee is like having a shopping spree from the comfort of your own home. It provides a unique shopping experience by creating your own personalised shopping mall, by picking your favourite brands and shops.

The personalised mall is based on matching your personal style to the products, to make sure that you are always on trend whatever the season or occasion. Currently over 200 brands such as Urban Outfitters, New Look and St Tropez have signed up to Mallzee; meaning that there are plenty of brands to suit everyone's individual styles & needs.

In addition Mallzee keeps you social with its integration of Facebook chat to create polls and browse your new friends wardrobes, allowing people to give their opinions and suggestions. An added bonus is that as the owner you earn money, when anyone buys from your Mallzee, EVEN YOU. Which means you get paid to basically shop *win win situation*.

Currently they are running a pre-launch competition offering you the chance to win £100 ($155) , all you have to do is sign up for the exclusive pre-launch invite here

If you want to know more then check out www. Mallzee.com

NOTD: Star - Avon Nailwear Pro + Nail Enamel

Hellooooo :)

I won this nail varnish from Avon Perfectly Polished Facebook Competition in June and have only got round to trying it out.

Unfortunately I was not able to choose the colour that they sent to me but either way  i am pleased with what arrived which was "Star".

"Star" is a shimmery pearlescent colour from the Nailwear Pro +  range, which is suitable for both daytime and night-time as it can match any outfit of your choice.

Avon's Nailwear Pro + range  is described as 'Nail enamel fortified with acrylic gel for strength and Dura-Plus Complex, for 12 days of lasting colour, 10 days of shine and nick-resistant finish'.

I found this nail polish was very easy to apply and only required 2 coats.

Avon Nailwear Pro + range retails for £6. However, currently Avon are running a special half price offer on this range meaning you only pay the bargain price of only £3 for 12ml of product , you can't go wrong!

My Rating
Product: ★★★
Price: ★★★
Packaging: ★★★
Quality: ★★★★

Have you tried any of the Avon Nailwear Pro + Nail Enamel range?!

Melabelle A/W 12 Collection - Pop Up Shop

*Note: Picture heavy post*

Hi Belles

So sorry for the lack of posting, but the LPC course is kicking my ass at the moment *intense is not even the word for the workload*. Plus my accommodation is still being built; but I'm not complaining because this temporary, swanky apartment is just what I need after a stressful day; but enough about uni stress.

A few weeks ago my sister and I were invited to Melabelle's pop up shop in London. Travelling all the way from Sheffield on extremely packed trains *due to all the flooding and rail closures*. It was a mission to say the least, but when we finally got there we instantly fell in love with Melabelle's new A/W 12' collection.

We were greeted by Katie with bubbly and snacks in a very intimate gathering. As you walked into the pop-up shop, there were clothing rails beautifully dressed on either side, with the fashionable talent of Bella the creator of Melabelle.

Let's start by giving a little bit of background into the Melabelle brand. Melabelle's A/W 12 inspiration comes from her grandmother, Thora.

Melabelle's ethos is to "to create a versatile wardrobe of flattering clothes for women with busy lifestyles" using vintage inspired styles, that celebrate the feminine silhouette.

The range of prints and fabrics are just what you need in these coming A/W days.

"The ‘Dalton’ dancer print was inspired by a mysterious envelope dated 1955, packed full of charming silhouettes that had been sent to my grandmother by her sister"

Check out some of my favourite pieces from the lookbook below

For me the  piece de resistance had to be the pea coat wool jacket in camel *also available in black*; which is flattering to any figure.

If a few of the items on the lookbook are anything to go by, then I would definitely recommend that you invest in Melabelle's pieces. They are perfect for "Day & Night", back to college/university, or just any casual trip around town.

Not only did she showcase her wonderful A/W12 fashions, but there were accessories to match. Who can say no to accessories to help give your outfit that edge.
These included scarves, handbags and jewellery.

It was such a shame that we were unable to stay for the whole event but we luckily got a chance to meet Bella ' the designer' , who was kind enough to share her inspiration for this current seasons collection and was extremely appreciative of us coming down for the short amount of time we attended.

She even allowed us to take a quick picture with her before we rushed out.

You can see more of these cute, sophisticated and versatile styles on Melabelle.com

Lacura Beauty Duo Eyeshadow : Orchid

Hiiiiiii :)

Apologies for not posting frequently over the summer due to working full time and then recently getting back into university life but note I am not neglecting the blog *PROMISE* .

Anyway a couple of weeks ago, I popped into Aldi to get some food essentials, while I was going through the aisles, I came across the health &beauty section which I heard from the bloggers grapevine was supposed to be really good. As I was at that section my eyes wondered straight at the makeup shelf in particular the eyeshadow testers and noticed a duo eyeshadow called 'Orchid'.

I love this eyeshadow at the moment and have started to use it on a daily basis, especially the metallic dark slight mauve & purple shade for day-time smokey eyes but the lighter metallic silver colour complements the other shade to create a great night time glam look.

Lighter shade
Metallic purple/mauve shade
I recently saw that 2true, Superdrug's own brand offered a dupe in "True Colour Eyeshadow Duo in shade 14". However 2true's packaging looks cheaper and does not come with a mirror or a compact brush.

Have you tried anything from the Lacura range?
