I am finally back after nearly a 2 month hiatus since my last blogpost, a lot has happened during my blogging break; such as finishing my finance work placement, moving back home, and starting Summer work experience in Legal accounts until I return back to university for my final year.
Last month, we went to Gran Canaria for a week and stayed in the town of Puerto de Mogán aka 'Fishing village' at Marina Suites Hotel. On arrival we found that our Triple room was upgraded for free to a suite with an amazing view of the Marina.
Although 7 days flew by quickly, we were able to appreciate the picturesque beauty of the country.
We spent a day in the Capital (Las Palmas) which was very cosmopolitan, modern and included high street stores such as Zara, Mango, Blanco, Pull & Bear, Berksha, Inglot Cosmetics. We also visited the old town of Las Palmas which had some pretty historic buildings; plus that day they were filming a Spanish TV show.
We did not go on much excursions as we already done the local attractions on our first visit to the Island when we were younger; but we did go to Aqualand Waterpark again, which was so much fun. On the last day we took a bus to El Mirador, the largest mall on the island to visit the one & only Primark. If we didn't go with hand luggage, we would have had a major splurge as there stock was amazing!
We really enjoyed Gran Canaria especially the weather & beaches, you can see more holiday photo's on my Instagram including my mini Primark haul (here)
