Floral Bloom

I don't normally blog about shoes, but I felt I needed to give these heels an additional platform to shine!

Primark as you know is definitely one of my favourite stores for picking up some real hidden beauties, if you search high and low through the store. On Mothers day, I went to Primark Westfield,Stratford store to pick up a cami and came out with these beautiful floral court heels which I decided to wear to dinner at 'Lanes of London' that same day.

They are pocket friendly at only £12, which compared to the £120 Ted Baker Luceey Shoes is an absolute bargain. The floral print is stunningly beautiful and the intense multitude of colour is perfect for spring/summer.

I was able to wear these pointed toe shoes all evening as they were really comfy.  I decided to pair the shoes with a monochrome outfit and I loved the way the pop of colour lifted the sophiscated look! (excuse the mobile pic, I did not have time to take a picture with my actual camera on the day)

NYFW S/S 2013: Day 7 - Ralph Lauren

I can't believe NYFW has come to an end, it seemed to fly by.

Anyway...I thought I would end this fashion diary with the one and only Ralph Lauren. Lauren effortlessly demonstrated that he knows what he is doing when it comes to fashion, as he never seems to disappoint. This season Lauren's collection began with a preppy chic 60s vibe with his use of knee-high socks, A-line mini dresses and perfectly tailored suits. Again I have to point out the use of monochrome and geometric prints which will forever remain a fashion statement. As the show progressed we were suddenly introduced to bright and bold colours to lighten up the collection, which featured cropped jackets, trenchcoats and A-line mini skirts. Towards the end of the show Lauren brought out the ethereal all white outfits to innocently end the show, but continued to display his tailored three piece trouser suits.

NYFW S/S 2014: DAY 6 - Badgley Mischka

Mark Badgley and James Mischka's Ready-to-Wear collection is one word... STUNNING. These two fashion genius' really understand the female silhouette and know which fabrics compliment it. The collection started off with a 1930s vibes with the use of the cloche hats and deep hues. As the collection progressed we started to see fashion move from daytime chic to evening elegance. My favourite part of the catwalk which really caught my attention was the floor-length hemlines which accentuated the models long and slender figures, through use of sheer fabric, delicate detailing and ruffles.

NYFW S/S 2014: Day 5 - Carolina Herrera

Today's pick is Carolina Herrera's Ready-to-Wear collection. You can always count on Carolina's collection to add a touch of sophistication and class to the catwalk. Carolina knows how to make a woman look sultry and seductive whilst maintaining her modesty. Her combination of boxy silhouettes and shape defining silhouettes create a collection of elegance. I love the way Carolina uses 1950's inspiration to be current and modern.
