NOTD: Wild Sparkles

I've been consumed with work and getting used to this whole 9-5 week. But the other day I decided to play around with my nails and just happened to come up with this. I chose to do a leopard print design and then added the glitter to adds some glitz to this wild design.

Barry M - Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint // Grape Fruit //

 I have a huge love for nail polishes with a large collection of 80+ polishes, which is still growing. Although the UK has not been graced with the best weather since winter, surprisingly yesterday it was warmer and sunny in Sheffield , so I decided to take a revision break and headed into town.where I popped into Boots.

I have seen the Barry M Gelly Hi Shine floating around as a firm favourite on the bloggersphere , so I thought I would jump on the bandwagon to see what the hype is all about. They are described as Glossy, fast drying, pigmented and long lasting nail paints and a cheaper and budget friendly dupe to gel manicures; retailing at only £3.99.

I initially planned on getting the 'Lychee' nail polish, but decided I much prefer pinks on my nails, so went for 'Grapefruit' instead.

The colour is a gorgeous bright hot pink which is perfect for spring/summer. It reminds me of Model's Own 'Hot Pink' but a lot brighter. I think it will be able to be worn with many outfits such as Monochrome, floral, leather etc.

Hi Belles!!

I was suppose to post this last week but busy schedule didn't let me.

I did promise you that I would start to do more designs on my nails, and I kept my promise. I will try to make it a regular thing as Shanaz has her bake days I will try to have nail days.

Plus I also got myself a job in House of Fraser. Just as a Christmas temp in Lauren by Ralph Lauren, and the dress code is black so I decided to show my individuality through my nail art for my interview.

Hi Belles

I haven't been painting my nails for a while, as I wanted to give them a little breather. So since I have just started volunteering with Sue Ryder Care I thought I might go with something that would pop and also be appealing to the eye. I was really feeling the polka dots and decided to copy my duvet cover, which is reversible. It has a vintage floral, Cath Kidston style print on one side and red and white polka dots on the reverse. Any way that was the inspiration for the nails. I have also never tried the whole floral print design, and wanted to give it a little try out *I don't think I done too bad for a first time attempt lol*. I obviously need more practice, next time I may even try out more daring designs *now that I stole my sister's nail art dotting pens muhahah*

On another note, I'm going to another Employment Tribunal case tomorrow, which should be super fun. I might do another OOTD post if I can remember since it is really early in the morning.

NOTD - Birds and Blue Skies

Hi!!!!

I've been a bit lapse with the nail posts, but I'm getting back to it. I decided to go with a pastel baby blue  with fluffy little clouds, and black birds in the distance. I was hoping to encourage the English weather but so far the nails aren't doing their job, but hopefully it won't be so dire this Saturday for the Wireless Festival :). I'm in London tomorrow to go to the House of Lords with my friend for a networking event which should be fun.

Is anyone else going to the Wireless Festival this weekend, we might see you there?

Nail Art and Paintings

Hey guys

I thought a quick update was needed on my nails. I decided this time to go with a Tiffany and Co design inspired by my earrings. Here they are a fresh mint green with polka dots, and a white bow on the ring finger.

These are the three paintings I decided to paint. I thought I would go with a cute floral theme. I'm not sure what I'm going to paint next, but please bear in mind that I'm am not an artist I just paint or draw casually as a hobby. Painting is so relaxing, but because I'm a perfectionist I'm never happy with it as I always see the faults. 

I also find out my final degree results soon, which I am so nervous about its unbelievable *God help me*. It's quite funny how one little piece of paper can decide your life. But I will attempt to remain calm and positive, and find other things to keep me busy and stop me thinking about it 

Does anyone else draw or paint? I would love to see other people's art :)

I am soo happy it is unbelievable, although I don't know what to do with myself. Last Saturday I had my last exam, which sucked because it was in the afternoon, but no more exams *cue big cheesy cheshire cat grin*, no more books for a while *until my postgraduate year*


I'm writing this while sunbathing in my garden because we finally have sun *about damn time*

I just bought my tickets for my Graduation. I can't believe my three years of university will end in two weeks. Just have to get through the three exams first of course :(.

I probably won't be posting again for a while so I want to say 'Good Luck' to all those doing exams and revising for upcoming exams.

I thought I would give you a little update on my current nails. I was feeling calm and collected today and I went with a cute baby pink/peachy colour *I also ordered some nail art brushes this week, can't wait for them to arrive*. I decided to add sparkly bow ties and a cupcake to my nails.

NAIL ART

Just a quick update as we are now into the full swing of revision season, so I don't get much time for myself. But in my little breaks from the books, essays and manic typing I decided to give my nails a makeover.

As the English weather has decided to turn on us again with its thunder and lightening, I wanted to paint something that reflected the horrible weather.

The black shade represents the dark and dreary weather were experiencing, and the multi coloured animal print represents my hope of a warm bright spring/summer. This look is suitable for everyday as it's quite neutral, yet still in your face. On the plus side, it suits most outfits :)

Relaxation

Hello my lil Belles :)

As I'm in my third year of uni (I can't believe its all coming to an end), I've been bogged down with sooo much work, like my dissertation and revision. But I had to find some time for myself and take a break and get away from staring at books for hours.

So what better way to relax than paint my nails (which is extremely therapeutic if you want to find some time for yourself).

Since it is spring and the new trend is bold and bright colours. I decided that my nails should match the current trend.
