Best Hair Store - Kinky Straight Clip in Extension Review
It
is only recently that I have taken more of an
interest in using hair pieces to incorporate into styling my hair. I was lucky enough to be contacted by the Best Hair Store to review the Kinky Straight Real Human Hair Natural Color Clip In Hair Extensions , which I was excited to try. I think
the best thing about clip in
extensions are that they provide a instant , temporary and simple way
to change your hair whether it is to gain a few extra inches of length
or by simply enhancing the thickness to make hair look fuller.
I chose the 100g 16 inch set which came with the following extension pieces.
- 1 piece - 8 inch with 4 clips
- 2 Pieces - 6 inch with 3 clips
- 3 pieces - 4 inch with 2 clips
- 1 piece - 1 inch with 1 clip
Included within the package was a pair of 100% mink eye lashes
and two hair combs - thin tailcomb an normal hair comb which was a nice unexpected gesture.
The
extensions are 100% Human Virgin Hair so heat can be used when styling.
The hair itself is soft and tangle free with very minimal shedding. One
thing that I would say regarding the natural hair colour is that it
was not totally dark brown like my natural hair as i perceived from the
website image but I would describe it more as a chocolate brown with a
slight burgundy tone in natural lighting. As I am a user of
hair colourants, it's nothing that a box of semi-permanent dye
cannot fix.
I assumed it was going to be difficult trying to find a way to blend my natural 4c hair with the extensions, but I found by straightening my hair first then plaiting my hair and putting the heat on the plaits did just the trick in getting the perfect kinky straight effect!
In
terms of the estimated
lifetime of the hair, the best hair store recommend with proper TLC ,
the hair should last more than 6 months. Personally for myself, I feel
mine will last longer as I will be using them occasionally for
protective styling.
Overall the
customer service for the best hair store was second to none. They did
not hesitate to keep in touch via email from the beginning to the end of my shopping experience. Unfortunately
my order arrived damaged from DHL but it was okay as the goods
were very safely packaged. However, I did sent them an email just to
make them aware and they reply back efficiently and informed me that for
future orders this should not be an issue as they have sourced new
stronger packaging. Lastly the delivery was very quick, despite it being shipped from the other side of the world to me, I received my package within 2 days from ordering!
Kinky straight hair comes in 7 different inch lengths ( 10, 12 , 14, 16, 18, 20,22) and retails approx between £56 - £98.

Lotil Cream & lip balm *
Lotil is
a skincare brand that has been around for over a century and best known for its protective,
moisturising and healing properties. The range of products include a
multipurpose cream, foot cream and lip balm. I was luckily provided to review both the lip balm and original cream.
Lotil Original is an all purpose cream which aims to relieve and soothe dry, chapped or sore skin including those who suffer from ezcema or psoriasis.
I applied the cream on my legs and it lasted
me all through my working day into the night. The cream is rich yet has a non
greasy formula that absorbs quickly into the skin. I was amazed at how it made my skin feel rehydrated and steadily softer. I must admit sometimes I am lazy and don't regularly moisturise areas of my body, if they are
not on show *slaps wrist.
The scent of the cream somewhat reminds me of germolene but I assume that is due to the antiseptic ingredients that help to reduce skin infections but it wears off after application on the skin.
I found this cream great for the body and hands due to the moisturing benefits to the skin.Although I have not tried it as a face cream, I think using a small pea size amount as a makeup primer would be beneficial due the antibacterial properties. You dont need to be heavy handed with the cream as a little goes a long way and if used regularly you would notice an improvement to your skin.
The lotil original cream is sold in four handy sizes such as 30 ml tube , handbag size 50ml, 114ml tub and 500ml pump dispenser and price ranges between £3- £10 (dependent on size).

I am an avid lipbalm user, I have so many open at once whether its in my handbag , work drawer or car. It is a beauty staple, I just cannot live
without as I really hate dry or chapped lips.
Lotil lip balm is a moisturing lip care product that contains similar ingredients to the original cream but with the added
benefit of SPF 30, to protect your lips in all conditions whether it is cold climates or just everyday environment. I love the lipstick shape of the lip salve for easier and precise application . I will definitely be saving this lip balm , so I can use it for my next Ski trip.
Lotil products are available to purchase from Boots , Lloyds Pharmacy or Amazon online .
Have you tried any Lotil products?

Let's Celebrate National Jelly Bean Day
HAPPY NATIONAL JELLY BEAN DAY!!!!!
If you are a major jelly bean fanatic or all round sweetaholic, today is the day you can fully embrace & celebrate your love for the small bite sized candies.
Here are 5 facts that you may have not known about Jelly Beans.
1. President Ronald Reagan was a lover of Jelly Belly beans. Approx 2.5 tons of Blueberry flavour beans were shipped to Washington, D.C. for his 1981 inauguration celebrations.
2. In 1989, Buttered Popcorn flavor was introduced as the world's first "savory" jelly bean flavor.
3. The Jelly Belly name is stamped on every single jelly bean made.
4.It takes 7 to 21 days to make a single Jelly Belly jelly bean.
5. There are 50 official flavours of Jelly Belly beans, the most popular flavour is Very cherry.
Although I am cutting down on my sugar intake, thanks to Mr Dentist...I found that I can still enjoy Jelly Belly beans through using these retro 90's lipbalms, as they smell exactly like the actual jelly beans.
The lip set comes in 5 delicious scents which are Tutti Frutti, Blackberry, Tangerine, Mango and Buttered popcorn...I must admit my favourite is the blackberry, it is just the right scent not too sickly sweet and brings back memories of my school days when I was younger carrying around my trusty lipbalm before I got into the fabolous world of lip liners, lipstick and lipgloss.
The Fabolous five lip balm set retails for £5 at Primark stores & 7 piece set is available online from the Jelly Belly UK website .
What's you favourite Jelly Belly Flavour?

Irresistible Me Extensions
I was lucky enough to be given a pair of hair extensions to review from Irresistible me, which is a US based hair extension and accessories company.
Despite the company being overseas, my order arrived the next day which surprised me as usually overseas delivery tend to it slow but obviously Irresistible me understand good customer service.
I have never tried extensions in my life purely because I rarely straighten my hair ( approx 2-3 times a year for special occasions). I had to take my straighteners out of hibernation to try out these 14 inch 100% Natural Remy hair extensions.

I have never tried extensions in my life purely because I rarely straighten my hair ( approx 2-3 times a year for special occasions). I had to take my straighteners out of hibernation to try out these 14 inch 100% Natural Remy hair extensions.
I opted for the 200g set in Royal Natural Black (#1B) which came with 10 pieces of hair.
- 1 x 7.5 inch piece with 4 clips
- 2 x 6 inch piece with 3 clips
- 5 x 4 inch piece with 2 clips
- 2 x 1.2 inch piece with 1 clip
The hair was nicely packaged in an Irresistible me black box within a windowed red plastic foil sealed pouch so you could view the hair. In addition to the sealed pouch, was an unsealed smaller section with a sample 1 clip piece to test whether the extension hair colour matched your natural hair colour shade. If the colour did not match your hair then as long as the foil seal was not broken on the set of hair , then you have the option to return the hair back to Irresistible me for a refund or exchange.
As I colour my hair, I was a little bit worried that the extensions would not match but luckily it did and looked like as if it was my own natural hair. They were super quick and easy to clip into my hair, though the blending process took a while to get the hang of, because my hair is not relaxed and it reverts back my frizzy texture if there is any moisture in the air. However, the great thing about these extensions is that you can use heat on them which means you can blowdry them, strighten them or even curl them!
Natural Remy hair comes in 5 differing inch lengths ( 14,16,18,22,24 inch) and 3 different package sets 100g, 140g and 200g. The 200 gram set I received retails online for $202, which equates to approx £148; though it may seem steep it is well worth the investment as the hair is very good quality &has minimal shedding.
If your on Instagram then definitely check the hashtag #irrestiblegram, to see how other people have styled there extensions!

J.W. Anderson x Diet Coke Collection *
Before I set off for my bank holiday weekend away to Torquay , Mr Postman delivered a little package; inside was a tote bag & 2 Diet Coke bottles from there latest collaboration collection.
Following in the footsteps of major luxury fashion designers such as Marc Jacobs, Jean Paul Gaultier & Karl Lagerfield is none other than Jonathan Anderson. The exclusively designed bottles are heavily influenced by J.W. Anderson Autumn/Winter 2015 Knitwear collection colours of striking red & blue and grey & pink, . Also for the first time Diet coke have incorporated the use of photography within the iconic bottle design.
This collaboration is important as it is part of Diet Coke's 'Regret Nothing' campaign which aims to empower and inspire women to embrace their implusive side (living with no regrets) whether its in the form of career, friendship, love or fashion.
Now I have to admit, I have been a coke bottle collector for over 5 years, though my collection is currently in storage (so I can't show you pictures). Although, I am tempted to take a sip from the collection bottles, I can't bring myself to open the boldly designed bottles; as I would feel as though I have gone behind the back of my other coke bottles , so for now I will have to purchase a normal bottle of diet coke, if I feel tempted to open them!
The limited edition bottles retail for £1.95 each, also featured within the full collection are T-shirts and the tote bag including a limited-edition collector's gift box set for £29.95- featuring 2 x JW Anderson's Diet Coke bottles and a premium notebook which are all currently available from Harvey Nichols stores nationwide.
Will you be getting a piece of the Diet Coke x J.W. Anderson collection?

Vaseline Intensive Care Aloe Soothe Spray Moisturizer *
Last week, I received the Vaseline Intensive Care Aloe Soothe Spray Moisturiser in the mail. I have been wanting to try this moisturiser since it's release as the idea of lotion in a can , really appealed to me. I must admit I tend to be a bit lazy with moisturing my body; if I know certain parts will be concealed by my outfit (Yes, I know, Bad beauty blogger).
The continuous spray top system applicator, is so easy and quick to use. The actual moisturiser formula is very lightweight as they have included micro-droplets of Vaseline Jelly, which allows the lotion to instantly absorb into the skin in seconds to ensure it is hydrated and soft to touch. This is great for the summer months as it which cuts out the effort of a thick cream which can take a while to rub into the skin. As it is non greasy, it is the perfect option for those who have normal/oily skin because it will not leave you feeling sticky after application.
Importantly, the use of Aloe Vera and it's healing properties allows it to be a slight after-sun spray to cool skin areas which may be tight or dry. The fragrance is really light and not overpowering, although does remind me a bit of a refreshing cucumber scent. The Vaseline Spray Moisturiser retails for £4.99/190ml and is available in major retailers such as Superdrug & Boots Stores.
It is definitely a must-have skincare essential to pop in a bag whether you are out & on the go or if your just in need of a quick moisture boost!

Primark Satin Floral Platform Shoes
I picked up these Floral print satin platform sandals recently from the Sheffield Meadowhall store and it was love at first sight. They had a limited amount of stock (1 row to be exact) ,and only one pair in my size , which unfortunately had a minor stain . After asking the store assistant if they had anymore, I was told i wasn't in luck. Although I was gutted, I decided not to wait for the following weeks batch of deliveries, and instead requested a discount as I knew i could work on removing the stain myself . Luckily, I was offered 10% off and knew it was fate to purchase before someone else snapped them up.
They are the ultimate accessory to add a touch of feminity and statement to an outfit. They're very comfy and easy to walk in due to the chunky heel and platform. I love how these could be glammed up with an all white or black outfit to add subtle colour or toned down with a simple tee and jeans combo.
I think these could potentially even become my graduation shoes (provided i pass 3rd year). They retail for £14, but due to the 10% discount I paid £12.60. If your Primark store is not lucky to stock these beautiful shoes , then ASOS have a similar pair in a darker print here .
Do you love the power flower trend & will you be wearing it this summer season?

This week (3rd - 9th Nov) I have had the pleasure to be apart of the TUUB Official, Street Fashion Experiment with 8 other stunning women from around the world. Each day on Facebook & Instagram, I have been showing differents way of 'How I can style a TUUB'. It is amazing how one item can be manipulated to create a selection of looks from Day to Night.
What is a TUUB?
- A TUUB is a sustainable multifunctional sustainable fashion garment designed and created by the lovely Kadri & Tui from Estonia. The inspiration for TUUB was from both of them wanting an item which could be useful for travelling light and be used in times of any emergency ( You know that time you forget that one item for an outfit).
- It is made from recyclable Polyamide sourced from Italy. It is non transparent due to the use of double fabric which is great, as you dont have to worry about wearing an additional slip or cover up.
- The TUUB retails for £35 and is available in a range of colours. It is definitely worth the price for the fact that can be used in so many ways!
- They ship Worldwide & the item is shipped in a recycled cardboard Tube package.
To find out more visit What is TUUB .
Check out the TUUB Facebook page & TUUB Instagram for more inspiration from all 8 of us women taking part and if you share an image by 10th November, you have the chance to win yourself a TUUB.
