Fashion Fix Friday 2: How I Dress Hawes & Curtis

Hi Belles!!

Happy Good Friday. I hope you are enjoying your Friday off so far and have exciting plans for this lovely long weekend. As I said last week today is Fashion Fix Friday and as always its all things fashion. This week I am going to show you how I dressed my new Hawes & Curtis shirts.

Last week my family were bad influences and persuaded me to purchase. I went into Hawes & Curtis to return a bag for my brother. Before I knew it, I was whipping out the card and paying for 5 new (albeit gorgeous) shirts. I have to admit I am glad they did not stop me, because I am in love with the fit, colour and style of the shirts.

Instead of my usual hauls of just showing you my new items on lifeless hangers. I decided to show you the shirts on my mannequin and how I would style them. So I hope you enjoy :)

HAWES & CURTIS

Hawes & Curtis are luxury shirt makers based on Jermyn Street, London. They have been established since 1913 by Ralph Hawes and Freddie Curtis. They have created luxurious clothing for the royalty as well as the aristocracy since 1913; and maintained their high quality while keeping to the English heritage with their classic styles. Even though they maintain their heritage they are still keeping with the evolving styles and trends, keeping them up to date and relevant in the current fashion world.

As well as creating amazing shirts, Hawes & Curtis create high quality jackets, jumpers, a wide array of colourful ties and cufflinks to compliment all shirts. Not only have they stuck to clothing but have ventured into accessories to complete your outfit. These range from bags, hats and shoes etc ensuring that you do not leave the store without a stylish outfit. The best this is that they are not exclusive to just the royalty or aristocracy anymore; but accessible to everyone, especially with 30 stores around the UK.

The White Shirt

Necklaces: Primark & AX Paris

Everybody needs a crisp white shirt in their wardrobe, it is one of those staple items. A white shirt could be dressed up for the office or dressed down with rolled up sleeves for that casual trip. I decided to style my white shirt by sticking to the colour blocking trend. I teamed my shirt with royal blue tapered trousers, a fitted fuschia pink blazer and patent nude pumps. I also added an extravagant statement necklace just to add some sparkle to the outfit.

Trousers: Primark

Purple Polka Hearts

Necklace: New Look

As soon as I saw this shirt I thought of the Burberry Prorsum Heart print silk shirt, that was a key favourite amongst the likes of Victoria Beckham. Although it is not silk I think this is a pretty good dupe. I would wear this shirt for drinks with the girls or a casual trip to the theatre/cinema. I decided to style this shirt with my dark denim jeans and patent black pumps. I also chose to accessorise it with a glittery purple clutch and purple statement necklace.

The Satin Pussy Bow

Brooch: My mum's

I have always wanted a pussy bow shirt and finally I have added one to my shirt collection. This shirt is so versatile, on the mannequin I have tied the bow like a tie and added a glittery brooch for effect. However, when I styled the shirt I tied the bow low to make the shirt into more of a V-neckline. I decided to dress this shirt how I would wear it to the office. I teamed it with my navy fit & flare skirt to give me more of a shape, my fitted textured weave blazer, and patent black pumps

The Striped Shirt

Necklace: New Look
This shirt is absolutely gorgeous and very comfortable. I especially love the little Hawes & Curtis crest on the back of the sleeve cuffs. I decided to keep this shirt bright and teamed it with all white to ensure that the colour popped. I styled it with my white jeans, white long line fitted blazer, black and white striped heels and some light pearls.

The Red Pinstripe

Necklace: Primark

This shirt has a rich deep red base with fine white pinstripes, and white collars and cuffs. As soon as I saw this I automatically thought it would be great for the office, but also a great casual shirt. I would wear this on a shopping trip or sightseeing while on holiday. I decided to team this shirt with white shorts, black pleather biker jacket, red gold buckled flats, and a red structured bag with gold detailing.

OOTD - Wireless Festival

Hi Belles,

You already know we went to our annual Festival, Wireless where Drake was headlining. Despite the rain and other eventful moments we had a great time :)

Next Wednesday I'm graduating from Uni, I will officially be a graduate and have my papers ;)

Anyway here's what I was wearing.

Jacket: Primark| Dress: Primark| Scarf: Borrowed from my sister| Wet Look Leggings: Ebay| Military Boots: Borrowed from the mother

Even though I'm mid blink in this picture I wanted to show you my amazing raincoat I got years ago. It's a Limited Edition Tokidoki Raincoat. I stayed dry and you can still see my outfit, and it definitely keeps you warm

OOTD - Employment Tribunal Hearing

Hi Belles

Today I went to an Employment Tribunal hearing with my mum, for a case that she is working on.
Fresh out of uni and she is already throwing me into the law world *just joking I love it really*. It was really interesting, although I can't talk about it; but it was very fun seeing my mum in action :)

Before we headed out my lovely mother offered to take some pictures of my outfit. With the weather being absolutely gorgeous in England at the moment, I chose to wear a very stylish, yet smart dress that I bought recently.

PS: ignore the really oddly bent leg in the second picture. I have really badly bowed legs lol

Blazer: H & M
                 Clutch: Birthday present
Heels - Ebay
Jewellery - M & S, Shamballa bracelet

How was the weather and your day today?

OOTD - Shanaz's 20th Birthday

Hola Belles

My younger sister turned 20 today *shedding a tear as she is nearly a fully fledged adult*, and due to exams and all that other good stuff we decided it would be best to celebrate it early.

I spent a fortune on a really cute satchel bag and matching purse for her *Which I'm now expecting a borrow from time to time*

We went out to dinner at Red Hot World Buffet & Bar and this is what I chose to wear.

ACCESSORIES HAUL

Hi !!

It has been a depressing and grey week, with all this wind and rain. Guess whose decided to grace us with their appearance?...The sun finally gave us a treat and brightened the day :)

Anyways, last week I had to hand in my final piece of coursework for my degree *smiling like a cheshire cat*, so while I was up there I remembered I needed to find a birthday present for my friend. I couldn't find anything for her, but I did end up finding a few bargains for myself *Oops*

I was also cleaning out my wardrobe this week as I'm in the process of moving my uni stuff from  back home. I have come to the conclusion that I have a shopping addiction and need help, as I have no room for any new purchases. But did that little revelation stop me?...Nope... clearly not :)

DOROTHY PERKINS

Navy Blue and Pink skinny belts (RRP £6) - Reduced to £3, paid £2.55 (with student discount)
[to purchase click here]

Gold Chain and Pink feather earrings (RRP £8.50) - Reduced to £1, paid 85p (with student discount)
I have been looking for earrings to match my Dorothy Perkins necklace and found the matching pair a few weeks later at reduced price

EBAY

Gold Texture Disc Collar Necklace - £10.18
My necklace finally arrived and I love it. I can't wait to pair it up with a cute outfit

PRIMARK

Black sunglasses - £1
I realised that I needed a pair of sunglasses that could go with any outfit, and I found this little bargain beauty

MEADOWHALL HAUL (Kamarla Edition)

Hi Belles

I'm new to this whole blogging world, and am literally clueless, but I'm learning. Anyways, I've finally handed in my Dissertation *sigh of relief* so I thought I would update you on the little impromptu shopping trip with my sister in Sheffield, before the intense revision period.

As you must have realised my sister and I love our little bargains, being students and all. So we like to look stylish, but with the affordable price tag. I was on the hunt for anything that would bring my wardrobe from the winter wonderland, to a summertime glam.

I'll be going to Wireless Festival again which is why I need a new outfit :)

PRIMARK

LBD - £10
Would you believe I have never been able to find a LBD that will fit my figure perfectly. I am a size 4 so finding clothes to suit me is difficult at times. But I just so happened to find this little beauty hanging on one of the rails in a size 6, which fits me like a glove. I was even happier when I saw the price tag.

Abstract print dress - £13
This dress is bang on trend and is cute. The bold colours are in this season, along with the patterned print. It can be dressed up to go to a club/bar with friends, or dressed down for a casual shopping trip

Maxi skirt - £14
I've always wanted a maxi skirt, but could never find one that suited me. Luckily my sister fell in love with this and showed it to me *she wasn't too pleased that the last one was in my size...woops lol* otherwise I would have missed it. It fits in nicely with the spring trends

Cardigan - £12
Ok I know that were going into spring but unfortunately English weather doesn't like to follow the seasons, so I thought this would be perfect for when the weather decides to take a turn for the worse. It's easy to throw on and take away that English chill and will go great with any outfit

Dress £23 (limited edition)
I could not neglect this dress and leave it hanging on the rail, so I adopted it to my wardrobe. I love how the zip can change this from a high round neck to a v neck dress in an instant, which makes the dress all that more interesting

Aztec print vest top £6
I love this top. From the front it looks like any other sheer vest top, but from the back its a completely different story. It's the little details that make things interesting and the cut out back, combined with the Aztec print = Amazing. The sheer fabric is perfect for this summer, especially for Festivals :)

Anglaise dress £6
This dress just screams my name, and of course I listened. It comes in many colours but the seafoam green appealed to me .I love the broderie anglaise detail and the cut out back . I may have to return to pick up some of the other colours.

Make-up bag - Primark £3, Collar necklace - Dorothy Perkins £1, Feathered hairclip - Dorothy Perkins £1, Faux Suede Mary Jane heels - Ebay £21.99

Hugs and Kisses
